Round table “Vocational Education of Youth and Adults as the Tool for Unemployment Reduction”

Within the project "Reform of Education in Serbia: Foundation of National Council for Vocational Education" the round table “Vocational Education of Youth and Adults as the Tool for Unemployment Reduction” was held at the Fair of Civil Society Organizations in Belgrade, 8th of March 2008. Introduction was given by Mr. Refik Šećibović, Ms Iskra Maksimović, Mr. Branislav Čanak i Ms Biljana Dimitrijević. More than forty representatives of vocational education schools, public administration and CSO’s as well as interested citizens took participation in debate during the round table. |

We present you the sixth number of magazine “Education and development”. The issue topic is concerned with the media and education, especially the influence of media to the education process, with a special text about the distance learning. The issue interview was conducted with Dijana Plut, PhD., who is dealing with the textbooks quality analysis for years. We pass on as a document the text of Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area.

New issue of the Magazine “Education and Development” has been released
|
We present you the fifth number of magazine “Education and development”. The topic of the issue is following of civic education in the purpose of creating responsible citizens. The issue interview was conducted with Ambassador Douglas Davidson, head of OESC mission in BiH. We pass on as a document the speech given by Ján Figel, European Commissioner for Education, Training, Culture and Multilingualism, at the Conference of European educational ministers held in Vienna. Mission
The Centre for Development of Education improves systems of education, training and employment through studies and research, to contribute the social development of Serbia and establishes regional cooperation in SEE in order to implement European educational standards.
Aims
-Development and improvement of education and trainings;
-Development of VET in Serbia in accordance with European principles and -standards
-Demand and supply in VET linked with labour market needs;
-Development of social partnership in VET and employment in accordance with the _principles of life-long learning;
-Improvement of cooperation and networking relevant stakeholders in the field of -educational development in SEE.

- Researching, analysing and proposing innovative policies in fields of education, _trainings and employment;
- Continuous improvement of professional knowledge and skills;
- Establishing of various models of social partnership in VET;
- Implementation and promotion of innovations in VET;
- Development and promotion of modern teaching methods and learning;
- Supporting and networking actors in the development of education in SEE by _publishing regional magazine Education and Development.
