CGCC held the training for the associates of Regional centre Zrenjanin – project supported by CIDA

On Monday, August 20th in BOS CGCC trainer held the final training for building capacities of Regional centre for continuing education in Zrenjanin which is by project planned to become Career guidance and counselling centre. Seminar is a part of all-inclusive development strategy for career guidance and counselling in Serbia which is a project supported by CIDA. |

CGCC held training "Transition skills"

CGCC Career Adviser held fourth, and the last one, one-day training “Transition skills”. Training is part of a project The Implementation of career Guidance and Counseling Model within Vocational Education and Training in Serbia, on school/local level, supported by CIDA. Participants of training were 17 teachers from 12 VET schools from Serbia. Participants were trained in transition skills which are part of the self career management. |

Training "Career Guidance and Counselling within the VET System" for 15 employees of Faculty of Economics

Career Guidance and Counselling Centre’s associate conducted the training “Career Guidance and Counselling“ for 15 employees of Faculty of Economics, Univerity of Belgrade. Some of the topics were Basics of Career Guidance and Counselling, Career Education and Career Guidance and Counselling- abroad praxis. Milena Vuković represented CGCC as a trainer, and guest lecturer were Refik Šećibović and Emilija Manić. Training took place from November 30th to March 2nd 2005, in Belgrade. |

CGCC presented one of its projects within the 53. Congress of Psychologists of Serbia
|
The project “Developing Career Guidance and Counselling Model within the VET System in Serbia” was presented on 19 May in Sokobanja, within the 53. Congress of Psychologists of Serbia. The presentation aroused a lot of interest and gathered more than 50 psychologists that work in different organizations. One of the workshops for career guidance of secondary schools’ pupils was also demonstrated. |

CGCC’s representative participated in the conference of Women’s Leadership Institute in Baghdad, Iraq

The conference “The role of women leaders in drafting the new Iraqi constitution” was organized by International Republican Institute and Women’s Leadership Institute from April 17th and April 20th 2005. CGCC’s representative, Jelena Lukic participated in the conference as lecturer and trainer in the field of leadership and communication. |

Training “Career Guidance and Counselling within the VET System“

Career Guidance and Counselling Centre’s team conducted the training “Career Guidance and Counselling within the VET System“ for 15 teachers from 4 Regional Adult Education Centres. Some of the topics were Career Guidance and Counselling as an Innovation, Career Education and Models of Guidance Interviewing. Refik Šećibović, Jelena Lukić, Jelena Smiljanić, Milena Vuković and Milan Dakić represented CGCC. Training took place from 19th to 23rd March 2005, at Zlatibor. |

Career Evening
|
Career Guidance and Counselling Centre hosted Ms. Jelena Sevo (USAID) and Mr. Zoran Skopljak (US Steel) for the Career Evening, organized for DAUS students.
Students were particularly interested in experiences Ms. Sevo and Mr. Skopljak had with their postgraduate studies in the USA, grant possibilities, selection procedures, as well as in their reasons for staying in Serbia, projects they worked on and the possibilities for future cooperation. |

CGCC’s representative at the International Meeting “Lifelong Guidance: Trends and Perspectives” in Athens

National Center for Vocational Orientation (EKEP) from Greece organized the International Meeting “Lifelong Guidance: Trends and Perspectives”, on 9th and 10th December in Athens. Lectures were given, among the others, by Professor Norman Amundson (University of British Columbia, Canada), Professor Bryan Hiebert (University of Calgary, Canada) and Christophe Couillard (Trade Union «Force Ouvrière», France). More than 280 career guidance and counselling practitioners from around the world attended the Meeting, including the representative of the CGCC, BOS. |

Career Guidance and Counselling Center's representatives visited related organizations in Bulgaria
|
Career Guidance and Counselling Centre’s representatives visited 10 related organizations in Bulgaria. Thanks to the host organization, Bulgarian Dream Pogramme (organization within the Bulgarian Ministry of Transport and Communications, with organizing internships for Bulgarian students in domestic and foreign companies as its main activity), the following organizations were visited: New Bulgarian University – Career Development Center; American University in Bulgaria – Elieff Center for Education and Culture; Business Club, Faculty of Economics & Business Administration, Sofia University; Human Resource Development Centre Bulgaria; American University in Bulgaria – Advising Center; American University in Bulgaria – Counseling Services Center; American University in Bulgaria – Career Center; Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum. With the support of Balkan Youth Partnership Programme, the visit lasted for 6 days. |
