Mission

Career Guidance and Counselling Centre contributes to establishment and development of career guidance and counselling in the fields of education, training and employment in order to improve employability and the overall economic growth of Serbia .

Aims

• more effective employment and economic development
• meeting personal needs and professional intentions of the individuals
• promoting different career paths and career development models of youth and adults, unemployed as well as employed

Target Groups

• secondary and higher education students and other youth groups
• education professionals
• parents
• the unemployed and the employed interested in the services of CGC
• social partners and other stakeholders in the fields of education, training and employment

Centre for Career Guidance and Counselling helps its clients to asses their abilities, interests and values; to gain information on opportunities of additional education and employment; and to position themselves on the labour market with consideration of its demands as well as their own characteristics. Working with an individual does not end by finding an adequate job; one is being followed trough in order to achieve continuous professional and personal development.

Formal cooperation has been established with the following national institutions: National Agency for Employment, Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Politics and National Chamber of Commerce.

Since establishing Centre has successfully completed the implementation of the projects: “Developing Career Guidance and Counselling Model within the VET System in Serbia”, supported by EU trough the EAR, and “Establishing Career Guidance and Counselling Centre at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade” supported by OSI, "Implementation of Career Guidance and Counselling Model within the VET System in Serbia" with CIDA. Among current projects is "Inclusive strategy of career guidance and counselling in VET System in Serbia" supported by CIDA, too.
