Information Society Promotion

Apart from its basic program activities, CePIT is also engaged in the, so important, field of public promotion and popularization of topics related to the development of Information society in Serbia and the region of SEE. These activities are aimed both towards building of critical thinking about ICT's and their influence on the contemporary society, as well as towards public actions that try to secure concrete institutional and legal preconditions for development of Serbia as an information society.

Through various types of public activities – seminars, media campaigns, round tables etc. – CePIT tries to promote development of an Information Serbia which will provide welfare for all social groups and all of its citizens. Our aim is, also, to point public attention towards wide spectra of social phenomena and problems that emerge as a result of creation of the new, information-defined social system. Hence, topics of CePIT's public-oriented activities vary from in progress legal framework issues, through sociological and psychological consequences of widespread usage of ICT's, to the emergence of new forms of art impregnated by and through technology.
